Isotonic Sodium Chloride Injection

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Saline solution, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous preparation of sodium chloride. It is indicated for infusion to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in individuals. This equal concentration fluid has a pH of between 6.5 and 7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, can be administered IV into a vein, or under the skin. It is commonly used in healthcare facilities for managing dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and diverse clinical situations.

Mannitol Injection, USP 20%

Mannitol Injection, USP 20%, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of mannitol. It is administered subcutaneously to reduce intracranial pressure . The solution is hyperosmotic and exerts its effects by drawing water from the intracellular space into the vascular space. This elevates plasma osmolality, which in turn reduces edema formation.

• Frequently used for treating conditions such as: glaucoma, cerebral edema, and oliguria.
